General Activities & Info
We hope to start gaming around 7:15pm.
We will be playing Halo: The Master Chief Collection. This game contains Halo 1,2,3,4, and Reach. We'll primarily be playing "Slayer," with CTF and other modes sprinkled in, primarily Halo 3 and Halo 2.
What to bring
Yourself! There are extra controllers and screens. So if you're good sharing, just come and hang out. MCC can accomodate 4 players split screen.
Feel free to bring an Xbox or PC, controllers, and Halo MCC loaded up ready to go.
We should have enough screens, but feel free to bring a monitor if you wish. There is plenty of power connections. There is a large network switch and we have ethernet cable running to all stations.
Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks. Food will NOT be provided.
NIGHT ACTIVITIES
We'll be playing Halo, duh, and drinking Mountain Dew like it's 2005. If we have 16 or more players, we'll break up into teams of 4 and have multiple games going. We'll do our best to make evenly skilled teams.
FAQ
Q: I've never played Halo. Should I still come?
A: Halo is a competitive first person shooter that first launched in 2001. So people have played Halo for 20+ years. If you have experience with first person shooters such as playing Call of Duty online or Apex Legends, you'll be fine. If you haven't played first person shooters and don't like competition where one side wins and the other loses, we'd suggest there is a better way to spend your time then being virtually shot in the face by a bunch of Halo junkies.
Most of the players will intimately know the maps, weapon spawns, etc. which is more important in Halo than most other 3d shooters.
Q: Can I invite my friends?
A: Yes! Send them to this website. Make sure they read and understand the details. We'd be excited to have more xboxes and spartans in the arena!
